Nikolas Koenning

Principal

Niko is a Principal at Cigna Ventures, where he works across all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, and transaction execution. He rejoined Cigna Ventures after earning his MBA from London Business School. Previously, Niko was an Associate at UnitedHealth Group Ventures, where he supported portfolio company growth and advanced new business concepts, and began his career in Corporate Development at UnitedHealth Group, executing mergers and acquisitions across healthcare services, technology, and insurance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas. On weekends, Niko can usually be found watching German soccer early in the morning before exploring his local food scene.
